BIOGRAPHY

Xander Jongejan was born in Velsen on that warm 14th September in 1973, when the thermometer read 24 degrees Celsius. He has lived in Utrecht for years and studies Theatre, Film and TV science.

His motto, since Monday 2nd July 2001, is a quote by Gerard Reve, the author: 'He who isn't satisfied, should hang himself'.

Jongejan has published Niet het… (Not that…; 1998) and in student magazine 'Alalos' (1999), and also in e-zine 'De Poort'(2000). In the summer of 2000 he performed during the Utrecht Poetry Circus. Together with Jasper Langedijk he initiated Stichting Tweeledig (Twofold Foundation). Tweeledig staged four theatre productions, published seven editions of 'De Eendagsvlieg' (One Hit Wonder), and organised an open mike for poets and singers – no singers showed up, though. Tweeledig was terminated in February 2001.
