Sieger Baljon a.k.a. Sieger Hesselink was born on 27th October 1981 in Tavenier house as Sieger Odmar Hesselink, of mathematical and psychotherapeutic descent. He grew in the southern district of the city of Groningen, where he got some decent primary education among the spoilt little rich brats. He flunked the Praedinius Gymnasium and went to a lower echelon in secondary education, at the Groningen Werkman College, where many lazy puppies of pretentious parents ended up.

At the age of eleven he started acting, after his big brother (that’s what big brothers are for) and played in a number of stage pieces, series and films. Writing poetry started a couple of years later and slowly but surely came to the fore.

His first performance was on 5th March 2002 at the Groningen WordSlam and took him straight to the finals. The next attempt was cruelly halted by a ruthless audience. His current job is that of a cleaner at the inns of court; a responsible and therefore satisfying occupation. For he is allowed to clean the garage with a huge machine. Alongside poetry, he also writes stories, scripts and monologues.
