Eva Cox was born at the crack of dawn on 25th March 1970
in Genk (Belgium). In 1999 she started writing poems and
she has gained quite a reputation for convincingly performing
these from memory. Such a reputation, in fact, that on
9th September 2001 she won the First Flemish Poetry Slam,
where she defeated such top performers as Peter
Holvoet-Hanssen and Vital Baeken.

cemetery in Hasselt, Belgium.
With her two children, Cox lives in Gent where she works
at the Poetry
