BIOGRAFIE
Keith Armstrong werd in het Noord-Engelse Newcastle upon
Tyne geboren in 1946, als zoon van een scheepsbouwarbeider.
Hij heeft een ferme zwik dichtbundels uitgebracht en trad
op in ondermeer IJsland, Duitsland en Nederland. Voor
de folkrockgroep 'The
Whisky Priests' schreef hij de teksten voor de cd
'Bleeding sketches (1995). In 1997 haalde hij De Dichters
uit Epibreren naar Newcastle voor hun eerste Engelse tour.
In het voorjaar van 2001 tourt hij met de Engelse folkpunkgroep
The Whisky Priests door Nederland. Sedert onlangs is hij

'The Market Place was a tragic sight. Bodies of the dead
and wounded lay scattered. The ground was stained with
blood and the cries of the wounded were pitiful. The following
day it rained, washing away the traces.'
Wash away the day,

into the racing river.
Beat the Dead March,
bang the old drum,
heal Hexham's bust bones
and cry me a River,
cry the Water of Tyne.
